I was interviewed for the PBS docu-mentary Making Sense of Place: Portland.  It is the last in a three-part story of land use planning in America featuring the Phoenix, Cleveland and Portland-Vancouver metropolitan areas. The film company is Northern Light Productions out of Boston. The Portland-Vancouver program will air in spring 2009. The documentary is about the impact of land use planning in these metropolitan areas.

See The Columbian article.

In it Rich says, "Portland has learned a lesson. Under Ballot Measure 37 they were just sent reeling. It was very embarrassing for them to be the Nirvanna capital of planning in the country and then have the population turn on you and slap you around and say, 'NO, you aren't going to do this anymore!'"
